The highly anticipated release of Assassin’s Creed Raed is expected to take place in 2024, offering a fresh and groundbreaking experience for fans of the franchise.

This installment will transport players to Feudal Japan, marking the first time the series has delved into this captivating historical era, a fitting backdrop for a game centered on stealth and seamless movement.

Gamers will have the opportunity to embody two protagonists, a male and a female character, one of whom is based on a real historical figure. The gameplay will feature a shinobi, also known as a ninja, and a samurai, aligning with the game’s RPG elements.

While there were expectations for a return to more linear stealth gameplay akin to the series’ roots, Assassin’s Creed Red will continue to incorporate the RPG style that was introduced in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Players on high-end PCs, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 will be able to enjoy the game, but those on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will need to upgrade due to the game being designed for new-gen consoles.

The game’s development for new-gen consoles signifies a departure from previous platforms, a move attributed to the increasing demands of modern Assassin’s Creed games, particularly in terms of expansive open worlds.

Ubisoft is yet to announce an official release date or share gameplay footage, leaving fans in eager anticipation of a potential gameplay trailer and release window later in the year.

Assassin’s Creed Red is generating significant buzz as it fulfills a long-standing request from fans to explore Japan within the series. However, the need to upgrade to a new-gen platform may factor into players’ decision-making.

Assassin’s Creed Red promises to be a groundbreaking addition to the franchise, offering an immersive journey into Feudal Japan and introducing compelling new gameplay dynamics.
