First Image From Assassin’s Creed Mirage Leaks

Assassin’s Creed Mirage

The first image from Assassin’s Creed Mirage has reportedly leaked in the shape of art for The Forty Thieves mission.

The art work features the ‘A Ubisoft Original’ branding on the top and is taken from the Ubisoft Store. In it, we see what is presumably the main protagonist, Basim, approaching a doorway where the ominous shadow of someone wielding a sword can be seen.

The Forty Thieves is of course a popular tale in Arabic folklore, and is based on the story of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. If the image is authentic, then it looks like Ubisoft is looking to adapt it for Mirage.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is rumored to be next instalment in popular series. According to Bloomberg, unlike many of its predecessors, the game will not be a huge open world this time, but will have a greater focus on stealth.

Other details mentioned were that the game will also have no role-playing-like dialogue system, no upgrades for the character and no choice of gender. However, it is said that the “eagle vision” from Syndicate will return and that a remake of the first Assassin’s Creed is in development and will borrow a lot from Mirage and its game engine.
