A recent rumor indicates that From Software has been secretly developing a game since January 2022, as seen on an employee’s LinkedIn profile. The renowned studio is currently occupied with its upcoming major game, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, and an Elden Ring expansion called Shadow of the Erdtree. Nevertheless, it appears more games might be in the pipeline from this developer.
The Game Spoof discovered that From Software developer Kennet Chan updated their LinkedIn profile, mentioning an unnamed game under development since early last year. Chan holds the positions of producer and co-director for Armored Core VI and served as the lead game designer for Elden Ring. This has sparked discussions about a potential Elden Ring sequel, although director Hidetaka Miyazaki considers it improbable.
In an earlier conversation, Miyazaki mentioned that the enormous sales and overall triumph of Elden Ring would not “really affect what we are going to create next.” It’s doubtful that Chan‘s undisclosed project would be Elden Ring 2 or any other Soulslike game, so we must be patient to discover what the developer has in store next.
