Fresh off the release of our God of War Ragnarok preview, we now know more about how the game will look and perform on different types of modes. In particular, players with an HDMI 2.1-enabled TV will be able to take advantage of higher frame rates and resolutions – up to 120 FPS!

God of War is no stranger to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with PlayStation hardware. After all, God of War 4 was considered one of the best looking games on PS4 when it released back in 2018, and that should come as no surprise considering how far we’ve come since then.

God of War Ragnarok has a lot to live up to, but it’s clear that the team at Santa Monica is putting in all of the necessary work to make sure players get a good-looking game. With up to 120 FPS on HDMI 2.1 TVs, this looks like a gorgeous experience that you won’t want to miss!

Here’s the full list:

  • Favour Resolution – 4K/30FPS Locked
  • Favour Performance – 60 FPS Locked
  • Favour Resolution (High Frame Rate) – 4K/40FPS Locked
  • Favour Performance (High Frame Rate) – Targeting 120 FPS

God Of War Ragnarok is scheduled for release on PS5 & PS4 on November 9, 2022.
