It looks like the rumours of a Silent Hill revival may finally be coming to fruition, as a new rating from The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has all-but-confirmed it. This is exciting news for fans of the franchise who have been waiting patiently for any sort of update on the series.
Titled, Silent Hill: The Short Message, the rating comes from UNIANA, a company that regularly publishes Konami games in Japan. Alongside The Short Message, eFootball 2023 was also rated at the same time, perhaps indicating that the new Silent Hill title is indeed the real deal.
While there is no official word from Konami on what this new Silent Hill game may be, it’s safe to assume that it is indeed a revival of the series.
A report earlier this year claimed multiple Silent Hill projects are currently in development. This includes a full remake of Silent Hill 2, as well as an entirely new game.
