Larian Studios has announced the launch date for the Japanese edition of Baldur’s Gate 3. The fantasy RPG is slated for release on the PS5 in Japan on December 21, 2023, approximately five months after its initial global debut on August 3, 2023. The game will retail at 8,580 yen ($57.55), with pre-orders for the physical copy already available at game retailers all over Japan.
Spike Chunsoft is the publisher for this edition of Baldur’s Gate 3. In a recent update, it unveiled the Japanese introductory video for the game on the official Spike Chunsoft YouTube channel. The footage is available for viewing below.
As a special gift, those who pre-order the physical copy of Baldur’s Gate 3 will receive an “Adventurer’s Guide” strategy guidebook. This guidebook includes comprehensive information on how to advance in the game and insights on the gameplay system that resembles Dungeons and Dragons. Specifically, the guide will decipher the dice roll mechanic in the game.
The Japanese version of Baldur’s Gate 3 is set to launch on December 21, 2023. The game is currently accessible in English on the PS5 and PC. It will also be available on the Xbox Series X later this year.
